Monkeypox is a zoonotic disease caused by infection with the monkeypox virus.
What are the clinical signs of monkeypox infection?
1. The incubation period is usually 6 to 13 days, but it can also be between 5 and 21 days;
2. Initial symptoms include fever, headache, swollen lymph nodes, severe fatigue, etc.;
3. After a few days of fever, it develops into a large rash on the face and other parts of the body, and may lead to secondary infection, bronchopneumonia, sepsis, etc.;
4. Monkeypox is self-limiting, and symptoms usually resolve within 14-21 days.
